Hello anons. I'm new to the outdoor world. I've never been camping or spent nights in the open air, but as of late I've been thinking of giving it a try. Sadly, I live in a suburb in Harris County TX, so there's nothing really nearby except maybe some woods by a creek. Does anyone have any advice on how/where to find good campgrounds? And I mean real campgrounds, not glorified parks (like pic related) where you're practically given everything except the tent. I mean real woods/outdoors. Any and all advice would help

In addition, I suppose any recommendations for gear/tips would also be helpful and welcome
