Same. I haven’t bothered taking any pictures since April. Pic is from that trip. Dark shadowy area to the right and sort of behind the small waterfall is a “cave” the trail goes through (really it’s just where a giant bolder fell and is leaning against another, but it’s a good 30’ long).

i don't experience /out/ through a iphone camera, can't relate. the only time i have pictures of anything i do is if i'm with selfie and social media dopamine hit addicted normies. maybe one day when i get alzeimer's and no longer have an eidetic memory i'll regret it.

Photographing leaves, flowers and animals is a good shortcut to learn how to identify them without having to write down notes and collecting material. I don't understand why you would preclude yourselves from a potential discovery, or learning opportunities in general. If you don't learn there is no point.

It's just the find a stock image for the topic. That's not an out thing that's a 4chan thing. I think you expect OC as fiorst post by default because redditoid brain learning functions. Here that's how you give people a familiar benchmark image for the topic. Not everyone does this and it's not a rule, just an organic thing that happened. I'd prefer OC myself but if it's some question about thread then typically that wont be a photo on hand thing. If that makes sense I hope it helps.
