>>2449932I think I remember your comment from the last backpack thread where you emailed the ula customer care and asked them if they could custom make your pack. I'm not familiar with the ula packs aside from Dixie's videos on them, are they a better alternative to the other ul packs I see everyone else carrying on trail?
>>2450843I'll check them out. I'm just really hesitant to buy into the ul frameless trend because all I'm familiar with are framed heavyduty bags and I still overpack a lot of things I should leave behind (heavy rainjacket, heavy 2p tent, chair, beer, bear can on some trips). Aparently waymark has a 55L framed option but I really don't like the design of this pack and think a lot of these ecopack/dyneema/ultra 200,400 packs look flimsy and prone to tearing. I'm used to throwing my packs around when taking a break, when setting up and breaking down camp, chucking them over rocks and ridges, down slopes and piles, I can't see myself being careful with my backpack. Osprey 40-50L packs look pretty good too, but I don't know how much mileage they can really get with the abuse I'd put them through.
