Just came down from Rocky Top via Anthony Creek near Cades Cove. Very misty, ethereal day. What's your favorite Smoky Mountains hike?

Cade's cove is awesome. It reminds me of the Disney forest on splash mountain. The animals always seem happy

It's a very cool place. I live about ten minutes away but I tend not to do the loop unless I'm going up to Gregory's Bald.

I’m going for the first time later next month. The only “must see” thing on my list is Clingman’s Dome. Other than that it’s a 40 mile loop over 4 days.

I would recommend checking out the Gregory's Ridge area for backpacking. Old Settlers is cool too but the Greenbrier section of the park is currently closed due to flooding. For day hikes, look at Thunderhead Mtn., Chimney Tops, and Mt. Cammerer. Have a good time!
