>>2445634either one works also tri fold foam. i use a sleeping pad. the r value of the pad doesn't matter for in the car so i use a cheap $30 uninsulated klymit static v. good summer pad too. i'd rec that one for the car because its more comfortable to side sleep than the other cheap ones, if you find it on sale.
its comfortable if you can fit at least diagonal in the van, and at least have your torso be flat. any dips or humps in the floor of the car you can fill with pillows or gear or water bottles or some combination thereof to comfort. if there's any tie down hardware on your car's floor unbolt it. any hardware for the seats etc unbolt as much as you can then position around it. if you use an inflatable pad get 1 or 2 of those blue wal mart $6 foam camping pads (you can cut them to size) and put it underneath so your pad doesn't pop or anything, there's sharp things on vehicle floors.
i do it all the time in one of these, its comfortable, im short and my clown car 4x4 is also a tent. it works fine in a van as long as you can open the windows and shit. bring one of those jump start power bank things in case you run the heat/ac/charge shit too much. bring a real pillow from home if you have a memory foam one they work best because they're gross air resistant.
