A lot of the Polish people that speak English don't like speaking English and will become visibly irritated when you speak to them this way. (In the town I'm in at least.) That being said generally its a very relaxed country (except for the bars and nightclubs)
where they fight regularly.) Polish women are hot but Ukrainian women are even better looking. The average woman here is a 7/10, 8/10 in America. Not even joking. Lots of shops seem to have beautiful girls working in it in Warsaw.
Prices are cheap, especially for basic goods. Apples are dirt cheap. Like $.35-45 a pound. Food is pretty good too. Warsaw had some great food from restaurants but the town I'm staying in, the food sucks. Other than the donuts and ice cream. Best ice cream I've ever had in my life. So rich and creamy, the milk too. Nothing compares in the US.
Used cars are cheap so if you can drive a manual you can buy a car for $500-1,000. Public transport is really good and affordable, between busses and trains you can get everywhere you need to go. Even in Warsaw getting across the city is cheap.
Poles are very racist also. They hate non-whites and Gypsies. My ex-girlfriend is Polish and very liberal but she even told me she hates Gypsies and thinks they're subhuman. So if you're planning on moving your ancestors should be from the right continent. Polish is also very difficult to learn and speak.
