Those south afriniggers, jim green made a video trying to recreate the tire shoes of the rhodesian bush war concluding it was bullshit.
I wrote a youtube response saying the tire composition was probably 100% rubber and not the mix they are made today. I included half a dozen links to prove my case and even linked another african shoe company, courteney boots that makes rhodesian bush boots in what is now Zimbabwe and even uses a tyre tread thick rubber sole. Ive heard people say that sole can last 10,000 miles. Regardless 100% rubber seems easier to work with as it wouldnt use so much insulation as tires today. They deleted my comment.
Fyi if you are interest in courteney boots they suck for wet weather. Think african dry and flat weather. Their game skin is not a chrome dye which is much more water resistant.

not a name I expected to see here. I loved their hunter boots and they were fantastic when I had them. some crackhead stole them from under my tarp when I was sleeping on the AT. I had to hike in flip flops until I hitchhiker into town for replacements. My boots stay on my feet at all times now.

the AT is a cesspool of mentally ill homeless people preying on heoin addicted hippies and weed smoking yuppies. When I hiked it almost everyone I met was a drug addicted darilect or rich kid "finding themselves". I took a three day break and I got my CC license during my through hike because of how sketched I was at the homeless camps at every shelter. horrible experience all said and done, I have no idea why it's so popular.

I got my cpl in an hour, it was at some boomers house and all I did was pay him 70 bucks and he gave a short PowerPoint and a test so easy a retard could pass it. the reason I took three days was because I needed to fly back home to my state to get it and lay the clerk his due. Took another 4 weeks for it to come in the mail, but I just had my roommate forward it to me.
