Okay, /out/, I'm about to buy a plane ticket. Where should I go. I'm looking to go around March/April and would like to go somewhere where I can enjoy the /out/doors. Do some hiking, camping, or climbing. But, it wouldn't hurt to have a larger city nearby where I can go explore some restaurants and have fun at night since I'll be traveling alone and would like to have a chance to meet new people and have new experiences, though the outdoors would be the larger focus of my trip.

I was thinking Portland, OR or somewhere in the NW but open to anywhere. Got any other ideas? I'm just looking for a week long getaway from work and Ohio. Oh, and it's also going to be a solo trip. Where are your favorite /out/ and travel destinations in the U.S.?
