Taking my girlfriend and her friend camping in the Rockies for their first “dispersed” experience. I’ll be taking a car in very close to where we’re camping. Since I’m packing food for more than one, and not foodstuffs I can press down into my pack, I am taking a cooler. Not extremely worried about having a bear visit, but I’ve heard tell of them trashing cars to get into the cooler, where I would be keeping it. Any anons that can verify? Any suggestions to preventing the off chance a bear gets ballsy?
