If your lips are chapped to hell and you forgot lip balm, either rub the grease from your nose on your lips, or the grease from any meats you may have with you. Will do a reasonable enough job until you get home.

Just as a note, since half the board are zoomies; that is cooked meats. Don't put raw fat on your mouth. Also kind of obvious, but be wary of predators like bears, when rubbing yourself down with food.

Bring a small metal pot with a lid for cooking and put pre-packaged oatmeal/soup/whatever you will eat in it (in a baggy) along with a cut up egg carton and eggs. Put the egg-holding part of the carton in there and some more of the carton on top to protect the eggs while using your bagged oatmeal to stop the eggs from bouncing around. Use an elastic band or two to secure it. Voila a whole meal ready to be cooked immediately.

Either eat before or after mosquito hour. If you feel the wind die down in the evening, they are coming soon to a campfire near you.

Depends on the type of animal. Some are safer raw than others. Was originally going to include that, but didn't think it needed to be said. No raw poultry or pork is going near my mouth. You do you though friend.

Walk along riverbeds if you need to move quietly. Also learn animal cadence for when you're forced to make noise. Mimicking deer and squirrels seem to be the most effective in my area. Also I shouldn't have to say this but don't step on sticks or branches. A cracking stick is one of the most alien non-alien sounds you can hear while innawoods.
