I absolutely despise the state of wilderness parks in this country. Every SP and NP in the US is infested with cabins and/or heavily developed "campsites," most of which are giant RV parking lots with full hookups, or at least power pylons and toilets.
Naturally, there are extensive road systems as well, gift shops, visitor centers, restaurants, and so on.
I'm not even going to cover the implications of subhumans pulling in their modern gypsy wagons to pollute the place in every way it's possible to pollute a place. We all know.
Now that would be fine, except that the vast majority of parks either don't allow backcountry dispersed camping at all, or else require a rat's nest of reservations, permits, tickets, and passes, and/or restrict you to certain sites, even though there are God knows how many hundreds or thousands of acres available.
I'm perfectly willing to leave no trace, start no fires, clear no brush, make no noise (which they require anyway). That's not the issue. The issue is that I have to suck a dick and get cavity searched to put down a tent in my park that Theodore Roosevelt set aside for the American people.
"But anon, just camp without permission!" Yes, I do, and no, they won't find me. But I shouldn't have to hide like a criminal in MY park while subhumans are free to shit the place up from the comfort of their SUV.
