Anon above, if your looking for mines, simply look up your regions history for mining with the prefixs (gold, silver, copper etc). DO NOT GO IN COAL MINES. Please, its too dangerous. Please dont actually go into mines around BC either, most of the province is very wet, leaving supports to rot and metal to rust. H2S isnt such a danger in metal mines, but stagnant water can still release it, causing you to pass out on your return through.
BC is covered in mines of all sorts of shapes and sizes, our mountains are peppered with them, with a little research and some 4x4ing i am sure you can find a few places to explore.
