>>2456383-The GPS on the watch is good (especially with the auto select feature, which is in beta testing now), the sapphire models are the only ones that have the multi-band GPS, so get the sapphire model. You will have to make a course and transfer it to your watch if you want to take advantage of some of the map features like 'Up Ahead'.
-HR monitor is good, although I did recently have an experience with it that did make me question it's accuracy. The watch was reporting a HR of ~78 while a chest strap connected to a PC was reporting >150 BPM during an intense virtual biking session. I don't know what the issue was, but I haven't noticed anything abnormal besides that.
-When you start an activity (like hiking, walking, etc..), you will increase your battery drain. If you use the map a lot, it will drain the battery even quicker. I think with my current settings, my hiking activity will completely drain my 7x's battery in 36 hours (starting at 100% battery). In smart watch mode, the watch will last for several weeks without charging.
-I don't use SP02 as it is a battery drain.
-If you are going to actually use the features on the Tactix and they would be useful go ahead and get it, but I'd argue 95% of the people that get it are larpers and don't use the features.
TLDR: If you exercise daily and go /out/ and have the money take a look at the Enduro 2, or Fenix 7x solar sapphire
