I've bought a lot of /out/ related stuff on ali over the years, no camping equipment though. Not for any deeper reasons, just because I didn't need any yet.
Picrel is a pic I had posted in
>>>/g/csg , the general for aliexpress shopping a bit back. Some of those were /out/ related:
>in the pic:1. A backpack I use for foraging, decent quality, around 30€, got mine for 25€
2. A pack of 12 pairs (so 24) PU coated gloves for 10,90€. I use these for gardening, foraging, fishing and general /out/ related stuff
3. Fishing bait - there's a lot of bait and lures on ali, all much cheaper than in local stores.
5. A field sharpener. Not nearly as good as using a proper whetstone of course, but if you are /out/ and want to use it on a beater knife (or to hone a decent one), it gets the job done. 3€
7. Polarized sunglasses for 4,31€. Polarized sunglasses are great for fishing because you get less water reflections and these glasses are properly polarized.
>other /out/ related stuff I recently got from ali- pocket folding magnifying lens for foraging to see certain plant aspects better
- 8x monocular for birdwatching cost me like 5€
- a rope lighter for windy conditions, around 8€
- shemaghs, these are usually relatively thin, but nice for summer or /out/ related stuff. Cost around 2-3€ a piece
- a cheap as fuck fishing hat for 3,70€ that turned out to be too small for my head
- hemostat for fishing hook removal, 2€
- got a lansky clone with generic whetstones that I used for sharpening my /out/ knives until I got more comfortable with fullsize whetstone sharpening freehand
- a holster/leg/waist bag for fishing stuff, around 17€ with a bottle attachment, around 4€
Generally if you use your brain you can get some good stuff for very cheap. Considering getting a single walled stainless steel bottle, a lanshan 1 or 2, a belt attached foraging bag , titanium cups and a mini camping stove at some point.
