Is nyc even a good place for this hobby? All I hear about are the same couple of tunnels that thousands of people have already been to

One of the most densely populated places in the world. Yea, you'll have a hard time w/ urbex in an area like that unless you're really in the know.

Suburbs, especially places with former industrial areas that never full recovered will be better. You can find this sort of stuff in CT, upstate NY and probably a decent amount in Jersey, but not in the city.

I agree with you on that, anon. This place feels like a nasty disgusting city filled to the brim with soulless npcs where even having fun or going outside is looked down upon here. I constantly receive very strange creepy stares for looking different and just carrying a fucking skateboard around
