Monte Rosa dominates the landscape of the whole northwest Italy, and to look at it from the Apennines you have to look north-west
after Stradella (very close to where I was) eastwards the Apennines bend to the southeast and Monte Rosa quickly loses imponence, at the height of Bologna is barely visible
i lived in the area for years so i'm very familiar with pic related, but even if you aren't on google Earth you'll notice it anyway :^)
