Tropical environments are motherfucking brutal. There's a reason like half the Amazon Jungle is still unexplored. It's either stiflingly humid and hot, or pouring rain and slippery and muddy. Whenever its sunny, you wish it would rain to cool you off. Whenever it's raining, you wish it'd stop so the trial would dry out. There's bugs everywhere, except right on the beach.
Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but it was definitely more "type 2" than we had anticipated. Probably wouldn't go again though, Alpinism is where it's at
