they're otherwise identical to bics, except a bit bulkier in the pocket due to shape. same exact grams and capacity for the full size ones. same for the minis. they're a direct upgrade.
the only advantage a zippo has is wind resistance. i've never had a problem using mini clippers and windproof matches on windy mountain tops above the tree line personally, anyone who finds themself in a location like that is going to have a wind screen with them anyways. i see no real advantage to zippos from an /out/ perspective and it goes without saying they are an awful choice for prepping because they evap and leak. any upsides they have are negated by this.
clippers are infinitely reusable, mine usually make it 5-10 years before i lose them somewhere.
