I had some Keen Targhee III shoes and low cut boots which were really good. Wore out the soles on both faster than I'd have expected, but to be fair I used them a hell of a lot. Would buy again.

Unironically yes this is true. I use them basically every day in northern Idaho, rain or shine, snow or ice. If I am planning on a long hike I switch to my danners, but Moab are fine for everything else.

Peregrine's are horrible man

Okay, whiney wide toed cunt checking in but I hated the Peregrines.

Altura is ideal but falls apart the quickest. Brooks Cascade are nice but lack grip.
Salomons seem to edge Brooks Cascade but are luggish.
I've been using the NB Herrios for 2 months now. They are okay but I liked my old Brooks Cascadia 12s

We used to stock CAT footwear at a (machine) dealership.
Never seen those, but the boots used to wear out in 6 months around the office. Maybe 3 in the workshop.
To be fair, I wore various styles for years and they were generally pretty comfy - but I could charge a new pair to the uniforms account any time without question.

I love the shoe so much. On sale right now too. The knit top is not so rugged. You can see the knit has some holes from snagging on branches. The soles are very rugged. The breathability is very nice. I wore these everyday this summer. Still in good condition except for the knit upper.
