How do you fix a blow-up sleeping pad? Is duct tape enough?
I'm worried it'll break on my 2 week trip since it's quite a cheap one (pic related).

These are all better than simply duct tape. But if you pair your duct tape with neoprene glue (which has other uses too for outdoor repairs), you're better off.

most of those won't work on a sleeping pad. maybe bacon strips. none of the other kinds would. i've never tried it but just knowing how they work, i doubt it.

you already got the answers itt
but also, if you want to never worry about puncturing your pad just buy some thinlight or 1/8ths foam and put it under your pad. it weighs nothing and makes for a great sit pad. lots of people use it for this reason. adds like +0.3-0.5 R too.

Bro don't listen to these people saying you have to buy something special. Just use the duct tape you have.

Here is the thing though: repairs, no matter what you use, only last a little over 2 weeks or so of inflation before you have to redo. So best bet is to make the repair at your house then DO NOT INFLATE until you get to camp. Better inflate just before you go to sleep the first night.

Trust me bro. I have been using the same cheap pad with just regular repairs for years. Saved hundreds.

Deflating and packing up your pad will eventually create micro holes to the airproof film inside the pad. This is more likely scanario than actually sleeping over a sharp object that goes through your tent floor and pad.

Maybe If you use the special things instead of the duct tape your repairs will last longer than 2 weeks.
My patches with tear aid are now years old, and are as good as the first day.

i successfully fixed this random girls queen size air mattress at a music festival with a piece of gorilla tape and a lighter. warm up the tape, stick it over the hole, inflate, then stick it in her hole. it held up

If OP is anything like me, it did come with one and it disappeared into some other dimension within one hour of it arriving home.

that's really not the case.
whatever adhesive gear aid uses is really fucking good. their products are overpriced but its worth the cost because of how long repairs with them last. my down jacket and my wind pants are comprised of 50% gear tape 50% original material at this point. i'm JUST starting to re-do some of the repairs i made in like, 2012-2014 on them. that's being someone who's hard on my gear, 4 season hiker, never fair weather.
