>>2472609>general farm labour?I'm currently abroad working on a farm, it's mostly apple picking but I also do other work like helping building greenhouses, removing weeds, clearing brushes, etc. It's good money compared to what I made at home, plus they offered me free housing in my own private room which is great. It's pretty easy to get hired and I've done it before where I shared housing with like 40 people, 99% of them below 30yo both men and women so as you can imagine there was booze, drugs, music, noise, fucking, all of that. If you're barely attractive and sociable you'll get laid easily but honestly I prefer my current living arrangements, where I can chill whiteout bothered after a hard day of work.
Although I've know people that have worked these jobs for 30 years and lived a normal life with wife and kids I don't think in this day and age is sustainable to spend your life on your knees removing weeds from a muddy ground while cold rain pours on you. It gets boring really fast, unless it's your own farm or maybe working with livestock where you don't spend so much time bent over. Picking fruit from the trees is pretty easy, not tiring and if the weather is good it's actually pleasant to do.
All in all is okayish if you want a job without any responsibility where you don't even need to speak the language of the country and if you moved from a poorer country where you made half as much. If you're a native and in good shape I think you're better of being a courrier bike guy instead if you want to be /out/side.
If you have any specific questions ask away.
