Is Death Canyon too populated by bears to do this hike alone? I've got bear spray and am a tall muscular guy who knows my grizzly bear and black bear etiquette for encounters. However, online I read some recommendations from articles against doing this hike solo. Anyone with experience in Death Canyon and Alaska Basin Trail could give me pointer?
