For example, rock and metallurgy chemistry (ie rock, gem, and ore hounding), bio and organic chemistry for various things (ie crop fungi, alcohol making/fermenting), making lye (such as for soap, or other uses), making pyrotechnics (ie blackpowder, recognizing flint and rocks that spark against metals), knowing which herbs/plants have specific medical compounds (eg knowing plants that have anti-inflammatory or antioxidant properties and compounds like flavonoids, tannins, curcumins etc and how to isolate or concentrate them with primitive means and potential adverse reactions). That kind of stuff can be swithly useful in niches but is not entirely needed for quality out experiences, more or less just compliments it and can be helpful IMO. If you enjoy something you should pursue it IMO.
