I mean REALLY strange.
I grew up in Colorado, and the weirdest thing I ever ran into firsthand was sections of the Rockies that don't make sense when you travel through them (e.g. Places where it's possible to arrive at your destination much sooner than expected, sometimes even by a matter of hours).
I don't want to wander into /x/ territory, I mean places where the landscape feels, acts, or behaves in bizarre or unusual ways.
