it used to be a legitimate /out/ brand, actually a quite good one, that became a fashion brand chasing profits.
they still make some good gear interspersed with the fashion garbage. mostly just summit series, and most of that stuff isn't very good, but they do still make some legitimate mountaineering gear.
still wouldn't buy it though. my liner gloves are tnf, i guess.
