What more is there to camping during winter? Aside from enjoying the quiet and sitting snug and cozy in front of a campfire there isn't a whole lot to do unlike autumn when we get berries to pick here and fishing by the shore.
Any ideas?

Depends where you are. If you're in the Northwoods you can snowmobile and cross-country ski and ice skate and do all that fun stuff. If you're in the lower midwest you're in for a boring time -- more mild temps but hardly any snow, so it's just an icier, shittier version of fall.

You need semi-permanent snowcover for winter to be an interesting /out/ season. If you're really into winter, move to northern Minnesota, the UP of Michigan, upstate New York, or Maine. It will be a paradise for you.

Sweet sled, but doesn’t that thick rope and cover add a lot of weight?

I’m thinking of getting a sled myself for some backcountry spots I love. You be nice to have sled so I could carry a big family size hot tent, cheaper heavier winter bags, and stove to get my family into winter backpacking.

My only worries are my favorite spots have a few long tunnels on the approach road you have to hike to get to the trailhead. Wonder if there is some kind of temp wheel setup or something I can rig because there is no snow in the tunnel.

thank you and they might weight something but not enough to replace them, got the frame for free and learned to work with fibreglass
mine had 4 person tent and big wood stove packed in with 2 weeks worth of stuff for one person at the time so by all means go for it

I was about to make a shitpost asking you where your hammock is and how far to the right or left you'd have to turn the camera lens in order for us to also see the parking lot, but then I maximized the thumbnail, saw the bough mattress, saw how neatly split and gathered all of that firewood is (and reflected that the heat retention from the tarp and that log backstop is probably much higher than one would initially assume), and realized that this was TOO INCREDIBLY BASED to try to meme on.

Thanks /out/bro. It did reflect a lot of heat actually. I put a cotton liner over the bag to protect from sparks but i would have been fine without a fire
