>go camping in the forest
>weather is alright
>cloudy and a bit windy but not cold and no rain
>find a nice spot under a big tree
>ground is dry
>sit down to make my food and all that
>lay down on the soft ground under the tree
>rest my head on it's roots
>watch as the starts start to appear
>feel comfy and warm in my jacket
>slowly drift into sleep
>wake up after 7 hours of sleep
>a bit cold but well rested and full of energy
>no back pain or headaches
Why didn't anyone tell me that sleeping on the ground was superior to conventional sleeping? When I sleep in my tent and bag, I toss and turn for like an hour before I fall asleep, I'm lucky if I get more than 5 hours of sleep and I wake up with either back pain or headaches
