Used to do ocean kayaking but I have switched to canoing because I love fishing, I miss doing rolls but you can't beat just how much you can pack in a canoe

I work for KL Outdoor making their Sundolphin kayaks plus other brands manufactured by them. Quality control is almost non existent, but then again they are quite inexpensive.

I was looking for a canoe before I got a kayak. Just couldn't find the size canoe I wanted within my budget and area at the time. Glad I did settle for the kayak at least, it's been fun and I learned a good bit about paddling about. I'd really like to get one of those BIC245 dinghies like cartopboaterNORA has. Pic related.

Depends on how much gear you take. You don't need a big canoe if you're a minimalist. However I'd say that 15ft is the minimum for what most would consider a "big" canoe. this is my 17ft >>2484087
and I could fit an absurd amount of shit in it. You also need to consider weight, obviously the bigger canoe will have more weight capacity.

and mine is 16 feet, I can bring a friend and we can both pack heavy or I can go solo and pack heavy or light depending on the trip. It weighs 48 lbs so I can solo portage but If i have a friend its even easier. Also perfect size for fishing day trips.
