It's October and the pears on my 5 in 1 pear tree are a little....small. the tree is 3 years old.

Has it been pruned correctly? I'm no fruit scientist, but I seem to remember that good pruning encourages the tree to direct its energy/nutrients.

Might just be genetics. They look slightly larger than wild pears, but still look pretty close to being wild pears. I guess you can eat some and see if you like them but I'd think they are likely astringent.

Yeah, the cool thing about cuttings is they carry maturity with them and you get fruit pretty fast on a tiny tree.

I have 2 year old dwarf pear trees, the first year they didnt grow for shit. I have Seckel, Bosc, D'Anjou, and Moonglow pears. Got a couple of seckel and bosc pears in the second year hopefully next year they start producing.
