Just came home from my first outing. Took the bus across the bridge, walked a forest road, up a hill, in pitch black, had to check Maps, arrived, pitched, ate, laid there all night, unable to sleep even tho i felt the sleep, listened to music till 5.30am, packed up sloppily and went down the hill to the bus stop, luckily a bus came 6.30am, my plan originally was to get up at 6, pack and head down, thank you lord. The trip there was the best part. 6.5/10, would do again. >Pic rel, my tent.

Hope you can get some sleep next trip. When I started going out I had trouble relaxing enough to sleep. Every little noise would make my mind race. I started using ear plugs and it really helped. I also usually try to get really high or drunk, or take muscle relaxants to help me sleep while I camp. I know it's a shitty way to fall asleep but on a multi day trip I can't do 2-3 days of only 2 hours of sleep so whatever.

Not bad, bring some drugs next time. Benedryl is an excellent sleep aid with a short half life so you won't wake up groggy

The lights are from my city, pic related. The tent is a urberg 1 person ultralight. There was joggers when i arrived who left. A couple walked by, talking. Music really helped, i heard noises and breathing, pretty scary.
