I think Far North Bushcraft And Survival, Paul Kirtley and ForestAnon are the only channels that aren't loaded with lies and sponsorship rubbish. There are other channels I watch sometimes that have valuable information but whatever actual content they have is buried so deep into the sponsorship program it puts me off of mentioning them. I understand that people are retarded and they value product "reviews" more than actual knowledge and real content, and also that advertising pays while broke NEETs giving likes to your deep woodlore does not, but I still can't endorse people whose trade is advertising shit, there are too many lies you have to set up in order to sell the products. It's impossible to show you real shit while advertising, it goes against the whole point of trying to convince you to buy things.
FNB&S has phenomenal locations because it's Alaska but they make no attempt to make it look glamorous, it's absurdly harsh living at -20C with snow everywhere and they show how difficult it is to accomplish simple things because of the weather and extreme temperature. Lonnie obviously wants to format the channel like some kind of old-fashioned TV show with all the "come with me as I show you" but he seems to do that sincerely, like someone who likes the idea of doing this Bob Ross thing unironically.
Paul Kirtley is great. While he does indeed plug his own book or courses that's pretty much his trade as an instructor and he doesn't sponsor anything. If he rarely mentions a product and when he does he specifies he has no affiliation with the brand and bought the stuff with his money. One time he made a review of the Garberg that Mora sent him but it was a one-off and he was very careful about weighing that against his credibility. He makes amazing canoeing videos that with none of that beautified crap that other people do, only takes sensible decisions and cares more about showing how things are done properly than making it look cool.
ForestAnon is ForestAnon.
