This helps me scout my area for points of interest, where I can set up a tent, where I can fish, where I can find small animal (not that I can trap them, but who knows if I'll ever need it), etc..
I'm also getting into identifying plants and knowing what they are used for. Today I picked up picrel, I remember reading it's edible but I need to look it up again just to make sure.
The next step is to actually get a tent and make use of all this knowledge.
The best way to learn is by experience anon (and yes, I also live in a big city)
