Any /out/anons find any good deals on Kayaks?
I want to get something good just for kayaking around the beach.
I weigh 250 and am a pretty tall dude so I was also hoping for something good for me that won't cuck my wallet

The deal is that this is a bad time to buy a boat of any kind if you're budget-minded, even kayaks. Your only hope is the Craigslist/garage sale method.

I definitely regret it but I don't live near the beach so its not like I'd be going every weekend so I guess I'll just keep waiting until something good shows up on craigslist
I've seen a good few but they were all way too short and unstable so until I find one from a boomer who doesn't know what they have

Check out Pelican kayaks, they are cheap.
I have a sit-in one and really like it, but they have sit-on-tops too.

if by beach you mean ocean, you have to be more picky about what kayak you choose. lots of chop in the ocean, and you want something that paddles good of you will get worn out quick. if you only intend to kayak when it's warm out, there are some kayaks that are a wet ride due to low seating position, but more suited to the ocean. probably lots of people selling kayaks in the colder months, so you could find a steal... but makes sure it's not messed up. if stored incorrectly, they can get warped/damaged.

I don't mind getting wet or cold and Kayaking was one of the most fun things I have ever done so I never really tire out.
Energy wise it feels like I'm walking so I'm more concerned about stability over all since I have used one that couldn't sway for shit and I fell off even with my strong core
I don't Kayak far from the actual beach my usual spot is in Long Beach around a kayak rental called Kayaks On the Water
