Does processing animals ever get easier?

No.2491440 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm just getting back into hunting as an adult and this is my first deer season since I was a kid. I never really got anything on hunts growing up so I missed out on the opportunity to learn about this then.
Every once in a while I'll get the opportunity to take some small game while I'm scouting or sitting in concealment waiting for deer. I never kill what I'm not planning on eating, so this means I've also processed a couple rabbits and squirrels and even a duck by now. Often, even after I cut the heads off, I have a tough time separating the "meat" from the "animal." Wearing medical gloves helps a little bit but if I'm honest I kinda feel like it's cheating to make myself feel better and that it's disrespectful to the animal to not just suck it up and process the body.

Does it ever get easier on its own? If it doesn't, what do you do to make it easier on yourself?
