you're not going to be trim & efficient like that right away, but its a goal to work towards. less weight = more miles per day = cooler camping trips with less people around.

make a check list of all your gear.
go camping a few times.
check a box if you actually used the tool/object/thing.
anything without a check after a few trips, other than stuff like your first aid kit, leave it at home.
teach a man to fish etc. if you want your hand held make a list of your kit with weights on
