Looking for trail(s)

No.2493649 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
A friend and I are looking to embark on a long survival/camping/off-road journey, similar to (and inspired by) c90adventures ongoing mini-jeep MOAB expedition. We are looking for a rather significant trail (or collection of trails) for our journey, but looking for trails in my region mostly brings up hiking trails and short off-road routes. Here's some quick criteria for what we're looking for.

>off-road as much as possible. Dirt and gravel roads OK
>somewhere in northeast USA
>200+ miles total, multi day trip(close to and far over also ok)
>remote as possible. A few stops along the way for gas and supplies is fine, but we're looking for as close to wilderness as possible
>preferably allows motor vehicles such as quads (perhaps another mini-jeep, still in planning phase)
>scenic views optional but desired
>goal/destination, could be a landmark, park, monument, historical site, etc.
>Abandoned stuff along the way always welcome

All reccomendations welcome, even if it's not exactly what we're looking for. We just want an excuse to get away for a bit.
