>>2494423Yes and no. Round the beach towns and Hobart it's horrendously expensive but everywhere else it's good. Look at queenstown and on the west coast you can get a 3 bedroom house for about 200 000 - 250 000. Problem is its kinda remote and most businesses are dead. If you wanted to make a homestead or just explore its probably one of the best places in the world for it.
My best mate is moving there and I would too if I weren't such a pussy when it comes to the cold weather
