Its snowing right now and its beautiful. Fat flakes endlessly falling from The Void, a snow storm is one of the few things to actually make the world be quiet for a little bit. Im right next to I70 and its a muffled rumble, id almost forget it was there if there wasnt CDOT trucks dutifully clearing the roads. Ive deeply missed the Rocky Mountain winters.

Car camping or backpacking? Take plenty of ground layers if from car. If backpacking just simply know that you may wake up nauseous and shivering, and need to trek all the way back to your car in order to survive

Meh. It has its charm but honestly for daily life I prefer the warmth. You can just get up and go outside wearing whatever doing whatever. Winter it's so much more work to even ride your bike.

It's kind of sad I can't see scenes like these in my own country. But at the same time I get the epic sunny beaches so, it's not all that bad. I can always fly elsewhere to get my winter wonderland fix I guess.

how bad of an idea is it to do dirt roads in the mountains with all season tires when there's snow on the roads?

As finn lapland and eastern finland has too much elevation for my taste, i dont like fells and slippery rocks. Western finland/ archipelago has unironically best outdoors. I like flatlands.
