With what, an earth mover? Frost has set in and we still have Jan Feb March to go through.

I'm in West Haven. What should I be window boxing to plant in March when the ground thaws? Mind there will probably be a few frosts in early April. I have two 4x8 raised beds and I want vegs for the Mediterranean diet.

Anything. You learn as you go. Your most important lesson will be figuring out how to water so you don't drown your plants and allow root rot to set in.

Beginning gardener thread?

Georgia, here. I'd like to plant mostly for food, but I wouldn't mind some flowers.

I grow some indoor flowers from pots, but that's pretty much all my experience. What should I plant and how should I go about doing it?

You could plant kale too, kale doesn't give a shit about frost. Kale should be planted "as soon as the ground can be worked."

Since you've been able to grow in pots you'll have an even easier time. Assuming your soil isn't completely worthless it boils down to buying a seed packet for a vegetable that you like at a local store and following the instructions. Germination is only difficult part where you want your seedlings to survive, but if you can provide healthy moisture it will work just fine.

It can be quite hard depending on the plant. Some things like marigolds are a snap to start from seed, other stuff like mint and lavender are damn near impossible.

sweet corn is great and much enjoyed here in the summer
love the summer stand corn, way better than other stuff

check out the garden thread in the catalog
find a seed magazine and peruse it for ideas and growing zones

Once it starts growing, it's pretty hard to get rid of. But I have heard that the seeds are very hard to germinate, and it hybridizes all goofy.
