Hey out. So I've been stealth camping on this guy's property for about a week. It's private property, posted etc but I never leave a mess. Anyways I was woken up this morning at 2 am but 2 guys with spot lights and ak47. Turns out they owned the land and had caught me. I tried to lie and say I didn't know it was private property but they didn't believe me. They walked me off the property at gun point, and trashed my tent and bag and told me if they every caught my black ass trespassing again, no one would find my body. My question is, what legal grounds do I have? I am very shaken up, it was terrifying. Does private property really give people this right? Any input is helpful, thank you.
