>>2496621>>2496622Most of my time in Germany was in southern Germany around Schwarzwald. I wild camped the entire time. I've never gone to a designated campground in my adult life. I had a winter sleeping bag and a bivvy bag. If it got too cold I would make a bed from leaves, dry grass or pine needles. If I was camping in one spot for a while I would build a shelter.
When I first started the trip I was out of shape and was only doing 8-10 miles a day. By the end of my trip I was doing 20-25 miles or more per day. Before covid I was very fit and could walk 30+ miles a day.
