Only a couple days left in the rut, you got your buck yet?
I hunt for meat but not trophies, saw my first buck of the season this week, and missed him twice, have never missed. pisses me off.
I've gotten a couple of smaller does, and with only about 40 days left in the season, can only hope I can get 6 more out of the 9 acres i hunt. I just put feeders up yesterday for the first time..
I'm hunting in a kind of bowl nestled up to a mountain, have a game trail that runs through an old farm pond and dried up creek, the pond holds just enough water to be a watering hole this time of year, have put my feeders in the dry parts of the pond.. Hoping to head out here in about 20 minutes and get lucky.
was using trails end estrous mix the other day when I pulled the buck in, hoping i can have similar results today.
