>>2503174The 14ers I did were scrambles away from the Front Range and Sawatch. Those had a fair amount of hikers though nothing like Quandary, Bierstadt, Longs and others. I mostly stick to lower elevation mountains in CO and NM where I never encounter more than 1 or 2 parties and usually don't see anyone else.
Plus they can be just as challenging. Sometimes even more challenging. Picrel is from a 12er that I did this summer. The person who wrote the Alltrails review is from Washington State and calls himself one of the best mountaineers in the world. Even he didn't have it easy by his own account.
