>>2499727It’s a silly meme designed to rustle Jimmie’s. Obviously all national parks will have some graded, easy to follow paths that are well kept and clear of debris, and those same parks will have routes that barely qualify as trails.
Left is from Yosemite, right is OC from GSMNP. There are small sections of trail that are basically dried river beds, completely rock strewn, but fairly short (under a mile). On a 40 mile loop I ran into spots like that maybe half a dozen times, the shortest one being maybe 500 feet long, and the longest being right at a mile. I did it in trail runners and was fine because my ankles aren’t made of glass and my pack isn’t a LARP load out.
