It only wastes fuel on medium-high to high. Get a wind screen and you can boil on low to medium just as easily.

The quality varies but they're decently reliable. The size is convenient because you can fit it into a Toaks 500ml along with a small fuel can and a lighter.

If a decent company made one I'd easily pay 10x the price.

It's a cool little burner that i've used on a handful of trips with bag food etc.
But beyond that it's not very useful imo.
Sure the skin and bones appalachian trail hikers vouch for it, but if you want to prepare quality food you need a wider burner-head.

DO NOT use a windscreen with burner-heads that attach directly to the gas canister.
You'll reflect heat back on the canister and the thing can explode.

I like them. More as a backup to my soto windmaster as it weights nothing.

You need a windshield ideally. I got a titaium one of the clip on ones off ali express for about $10.

It just clips on the neck of the stove. its a small mm. I have a few stoves and thats the only stove it fits.

MSR do an alu version, I dont know the diameter of the mount so youd need to look into that.

I got the one of ali as it was cheap and titanium.

I've got the soto windmaster now https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R7BZCB3 and it handles the wind a lot better. I carry a piece of thick titanium foil as a wind screen. It also seems like it uses more fuel and boils water much faster than than the msi did.

Clip on windscreens are fine, for example Optimus manufactures a wind screen that clips on the neck of the gas canister (pic related). It doesn't really have a way for reflecting the heat back to the canister.
