Cat Burial

No.2501445 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
This is the weirdest question but I thought /out/ will know. My poor cat died today so I thought I'd bury her in my local woods, at a spot I regularly hike to that's nice and secluded. She was in a shoebox.
Thing is the soil is very rocky AND it's been dry lately so I could only manage something like 20 inches before hitting a large enough rock to stop me dead on my tracks. I tried different spots and they were worse.
Anyway, I covered it with a bunch of branches and left it. I then came back some hours later and put a bunch of large stones over it and put the branches back on top.

Here's the thing anons. Wildlife is basically foxes, wolves and boars, nothing else. No racoons or anything. How fucked is that grave? And what can I realistically do to improve it? It's a ways in the woods so I can't bring heavy stuff with me. How far around the grave should I keep piling rocks ?
