The ACTUAL worst creature of the outdoors. Worse than ticks, worse than mosquitoes, worse than flies, worse than anything on this God-forsaken planet except probably sand fleas. Whenever someone complains about normie tutorial mode pests like mosquitoes, it tells me they don't know true suffering.
>too small to be seen by the naked eye or be felt crawling on your skin
>bites take 12+ hours to show symptoms so you won't even know where you got the chiggers from
>never just one, always dozens of them
>bites are maddeningly itchy and will wake you up in your sleep
>scabs are incredibly easy to open, get infected just as easily
>takes over 2 weeks to heal, and that's in the best case, due to the nature of the wound and the quantity of bites, in reality if you scratch you will extend the healing time to 2+ months
>bites easily leave scarring, enjoy your permanent reminder
After my first chigger experience I simply regret every breath wasted complaining about other pests.
