Am I too old at 35 to learn and start sailing?

I've always had an interest in owning a sail boat, nothing crazy big max 30ft, but leaning more towards a 20ft summer pleasure boat, I live between Lake eerie, and Ontario so no shortage of space to sail.

I have a 3 year plan to save up and learn to sail between then, is that a possibility with only a little sailing experience? I know the basics of boating, and steering and such already.
