I've been having problems with fleas on my house lately. They've already bitten me (and only me) several times. I already bought pesticides and will spray the backyard today, but I'm worried if I might get some disease from them. I need help identifying it. I live on a port city in SE Brazil.

What you're seeing here is one of them, I crushed and rolled it till it stopped moving. It's about 2mm long, yellow brown to black.

What the hell is this? Am I going to die?!
