No one suggested bringing two of everything. That's the kind of weasel logic and hyperbole that Unpreparedness Anon has resorted to. In fact, he's so mad that he's now posting off-topic in other /out/ threads about me, which really tickles my pickle.
Anyway, there's no real controversy here. There's still a thread up right now about a cute little blonde girl who went hiking unprepared and turned herself into a Popsicle, which was posted shortly after the thread about the woman who turned into a Popsicle at the Narrows in Zion.
If they'd been prepared, that wouldn't have happened. As a few recent posters have indicated, minimalism is for experts; but "plan for the unexpected" is actually part of minimalism, too.
